WhatsApp Marketplace Bot Development
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
My web-and-mobile marketplace needs a WhatsApp bot that can do two things flawlessly: proactively push event-based notifications and handle inbound customer service conversations.
Notifications
The bot must listen to our platform events through existing APIs and instantly message buyers or sellers whenever a purchase or sale is made, shipping is booked, a pickup is ready, a question is posted, or any similar action fires on the site or in the app. Messages have to be templated to WhatsApp’s requirements and sent on the correct user thread.
Customer Service
When users reply, the same bot should switch to support mode, answering FAQ-style queries, pulling real-time order data for “Where’s my package?” questions, and escalating edge cases to a live agent hand-off. I will provide the FAQ content; you will connect the logic to our order, user, and ticket endpoints.
Environment
Both the web and mobile codebases already expose REST/JSON endpoints for orders, users, shipments, and notifications. I am open to the framework you prefer (Twilio, Vonage, Meta Cloud API, etc.) so long as it is stable, complies with WhatsApp Business policies, and is easy for our team to maintain.
Deliverables
• A production-ready WhatsApp Business bot connected to our marketplace APIs
• Event listeners and message templates for every notification type listed above
• Conversational flows for FAQs, order look-ups, and basic tech support
• Source code, environment variables documented, and a quick-start README
• Short hand-over session so my devs can deploy updates independently
Acceptance criteria include real-time delivery (<5 s) on purchase events, correct data in order look-ups, and a fallback to live chat after three failed intent matches.
If you have solid experience building WhatsApp bots and integrating with marketplace stacks, let’s get started.
