WhatsApp Chatbot Database Integration

I need a developer who can wire my WhatsApp Business API to our customer database so that every inbound message kicks off an interactive chat flow. The job is purely on the receive-side: no bulk sends, no contact sync.

Here’s what has to happen:

1. A webhook captures each incoming WhatsApp message.
2. Your back-end routes it through a logic layer that serves interactive templates (reply buttons, list messages, quick-replies).
3. Based on the user’s taps, the flow advances until it reaches an end state or escalation trigger.

All responses must be delivered automatically without human intervention; think of it as a lightweight chatbot sitting on top of our existing DB. I am not asking for data retrieval or storage at this stage—just rock-solid reception and menu-driven replies that can later be extended to read/write records.

Deliverables
• Source code for the listener and flow engine (Python, Node.js, or similar)
• WhatsApp Business API configuration files and approved message templates
• A brief README covering local setup, environment variables, and how to add new menu paths
• Postman (or cURL) test collection showing sample inbound events and the corresponding JSON replies

Acceptance criteria
• Incoming messages arrive, the correct interactive template is returned, and buttons work end-to-end.
• Response time under one second in a test environment.
• Code passes a quick hand-over review and runs behind our existing HTTPS endpoint.
