Patient Data Descriptive Statistics

I have a spreadsheet of anonymised patient records and I need a clear, well-structured descriptive statistical summary produced directly in Excel. The dataset has already been collected; what is missing is an organised workbook that quickly tells me counts, means, medians, standard deviations and other basic distribution details for each variable, along with simple visualisations (histograms, bar charts, pivot-table summaries).

Here’s the flow I have in mind:

• Clean and structure the raw sheets so every variable is analysis-ready.
• Build the descriptive statistics summaries—central tendency, spread, frequency tables—using native Excel tools (Functions, PivotTables, Analysis ToolPak or Power Query, whichever is most efficient).
• Add clear charts that illustrate the key take-aways at a glance.
• Document any formulae or steps inside a “Notes” tab so the analysis can be refreshed when new patient records are added.

Deliverable: a single Excel workbook that opens to a dashboard-style overview sheet, with linked tabs for the underlying calculations and visuals, fully editable and free of external links. If any assumptions are needed while cleaning, note them in the workbook comments so nothing is left ambiguous.
