Medical Records Descriptive Stats
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I have an Excel workbook containing patient records and I need a clear, descriptive statistical snapshot of the data. My focus is on two areas:
• Patient demographics – counts and percentages by age band, gender, and any other standard fields already present.
• Diagnosis frequency – how often each diagnosis code or description appears, ranked from most to least common.
Using native Excel tools—formulas, PivotTables, simple charts, and, if helpful, Power Query—please build an easy-to-read summary sheet that pulls everything together. I should be able to open the file and immediately see: overall totals, key percentages, and a few compact visuals (bar or pie charts are fine) that illustrate the findings.
Deliverables
• Updated Excel file with all calculations, labelled PivotTables, and dynamic charts.
• A short “Read Me” sheet (2–3 paragraphs max) explaining the steps you took and pointing me to where each statistic can be found.
Acceptance criteria
• All figures automatically refresh when I replace the underlying data.
• No external add-ins or macros required; everything should work in standard desktop Excel.
• Clear, error-free formulas and field names so I can follow the logic easily.
If anything in the raw data needs cleaning or re-formatting first, flag it and handle it as part of the task. Accuracy and clarity are the priorities; I simply want to understand who my patients are and which diagnoses we see most often at a glance.
