I’m preparing to release my debut fantasy novel and need a skilled illustrator to bring the front cover to life. The scene should be rendered in a realistic style, yet the overall feeling must stay light and whimsical rather than dark or brooding.
Key visual focus: the protagonists. I’ll share reference notes on appearance, pose, and costume so you can capture the character’s personality at first glance. While I’m not asking for a full landscape or artifact, feel free to hint at a soft, magical backdrop that enhances the heros without stealing attention. Subtle sparkle, playful lighting, pastel or airy colour accents—anything that keeps the atmosphere hopeful and adventurous—will fit perfectly.
What I need from you:
• Initial concept sketch so we can lock down composition and palette.
• High-resolution final artwork suitable for both e-book and print (front cover only, CMYK 300 dpi plus an RGB web version).
• A layered file (PSD or Procreate) alongside flattened PNG/JPEG exports, leaving room for the title and author name.
