Realistic Character Illustrations for Book
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I’m finalising a book in which every important character is introduced with a vivid description, and I want the reader to see precisely what I have in mind. Between ten and twenty illustrations are needed, all in a realistic style and delivered digitally. I will give you the full written profile of each person—age, posture, clothing, facial features, even subtle quirks—so you have clear guidance while still leaving room for artistic interpretation.
A consistent visual language throughout the set is essential: lighting, line-work and colour palette should feel as though the same artist observed the same world. Please work natively in a professional illustration tool (Procreate, Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint or comparable) and provide:
• High-resolution PNG or TIFF suitable for print (300 dpi, A5 at minimum)
• The layered source files so my layout designer can make minor adjustments if needed
Acceptance criteria
• Every drawing reflects the written description without generic stock poses
• Backgrounds remain minimal or soft-focus so the character stays the focal point
• Colours are calibrated for CMYK conversion; no unpleasant shifts on proof prints
• Final set delivered on the agreed timeline, ready for immediate insertion into the manuscript
