Fantasy Novel Character Illustrations Needed
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I’m deep into drafting a new fantasy novel and have reached the stage where the characters need to step off the page and into full colour. I’m looking for an artist who feels comfortable working in a semi-realistic style—rich enough to show emotion and texture, yet stylised enough to keep that touch of wonder the genre thrives on.
Scope
• Characters: at least seven distinct heroes, villains or supporting figures.
• Backgrounds: each illustration requires its own detailed environment that reflects the scene or realm the character inhabits.
I’ll supply written descriptions, personality notes and any reference images I have for clothing, weapons, or magical elements. You’re welcome to suggest poses or settings that heighten drama or reveal character traits.
Deliverables
• Final high-resolution files (PNG or layered PSD) for each character with background
• A lighter web-ready version of every piece
• Source files kept organised so I can revisit layers for potential layout tweaks later
Acceptance
Artwork should be consistent in lighting, palette and anatomy across the entire set. I’ll review one initial sketch per character first, followed by a colour proof, before we move to final rendering. If you love blending painterly textures with crisp linework and can keep to agreed milestones, I’d be thrilled to collaborate.
