I’m creating an adventure-driven children’s book for readers aged 8-12 and need a skilled cartoonist to bring a cast of kid characters to life in a lively comic style.
You’ll take my written briefs—personality notes, rough stick-figure thumbnails, and scene descriptions—and translate them into polished, full-colour artwork that feels energetic, expressive, and age-appropriate. Consistency across panels matters: proportions, outfits, and facial expressions should stay on-model from sketch to final render so the characters feel like the same kids throughout the story.
Scope at a glance
• Character development: turnaround sheets and a few key poses for each protagonist and supporting classmate.
• Story illustrations: approximately twenty interior scenes plus a cover, delivered as layered PSD or high-resolution PNG.
• Revisions: two rounds on sketches, one on color, to lock everything down before final export.
