Cat-Themed Children’s Book Illustrator
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My story follows a persian and sphynx cat who learn the value of friendship, aimed squarely at readers in the 4-7 age range. I now need the visual magic that will turn their adventure into a picture-book children will beg to reread.
The manuscript is complete; what remains are the illustrations—bright, engaging spreads that balance clear storytelling with playful feline charm. I’m open on style: cartoonish energy, soft whimsical lines, or a lightly realistic touch could all work, as long as the images feel warm, expressive, and age-appropriate.
Deliverables
• Full-colour cover front and back
• 24–28 interior pages (single-page and double-page spreads as the layout requires)
• Title page, dedication page artwork, and spot illustrations for chapter breaks if needed
• Layered source files (PSD, AI, or Procreate) plus print-ready PDFs at 300 DPI
• Two rounds of revisions on sketches and colours to nail down character consistency and mood
Acceptance criteria: the final files match the print dimensions I provide, colours stay within CMYK limits, and every illustration clearly conveys the emotions of the text.
