Cartoonish Cyberpunk Character Design

Job ID: 40310576

Budget: €30 – €250 EUR

Quick clarification — this is not just for character design.

The goal is to build a short animated cyberpunk mini-series (30–50s episodes), so consistency across shots and the ability to translate designs into actual scenes is really important.

Ideally looking for someone who understands both design and how it holds up in animation / video workflows.

I’m building a short, highly-visual cyberpunk mini-series that ties into my music project. The story follows two recurring figures:

• a lone human, always shown from behind
• a small, expressive robot whose “log entries” frame each episode

Because these two appear in every scene, their look has to stay rock-solid from shot to shot. I’m looking for a designer who can take my rough ideas and develop fully-fleshed, cartoonish designs that feel futuristic yet warm and personality-driven.

What I need from you
• Concept exploration based on my written notes and soundtrack mood boards
• Final turnaround sheets, pose/expression pages, and color call-outs for both characters
• A clear method (model sheets, style guides, or similar) that lets any animator keep proportions, palettes, and key details consistent throughout the series

I have no pre-existing artwork, so you’ll be steering the visual direction. If you’re comfortable shaping designs from the ground up—and can explain how you maintain consistency across multiple scenes—I’d love to see how you work and what your timeline looks like. Tools are up to you; Procreate, Photoshop, Clip Studio or similar are all fine as long as layered source files come with the finals.

Send over a short note on your process, a couple of portfolio links that show cartoon-style characters, and we can dive into the soundtrack and story beats together.
