Cartoonish Character Design Project Junior/Aspiring
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m Miguel Matheus, an 18-year-old 3D-animation student with a deep love for comic-style art, and I’m launching a small project focused on original character creation. I already have story concepts sketched out; what I need now are fully rendered, cartoonish characters that pop off the page and translate easily to both traditional panels and digital media.
Here’s what I’m after:
• Rough turnaround sketches (front, side, back) to lock down proportions and silhouette
• A polished, full-colour illustration for each approved design (layered PSD or Clip Studio file)
• A simple expression sheet—three to four facial expressions that show personality
My workflow is straightforward. I’ll share a written brief plus reference thumbnails, you’ll provide a quick pencil pass for feedback, and we’ll iterate once more before moving to final colours. I’m responsive, clear in my notes, and always open to your creative ideas—as long as we finish with eye-catching, cartoonish characters ready for comic panels.
