Baseball Pokémon-Style Card Art

I’m putting together a small run of collectible trading cards that combine today’s baseball stars with the charm of classic monster-battling games. For this first phase I only need a basic concept illustration: one front-facing card design featuring a current MLB player re-imagined in an original, Pokémon-inspired aesthetic.

Scope
• Single full-colour card front: character art, nameplate, hit points, and a simple background that hints at the player’s real-world team.
• Custom unique style—think vibrant colours and bold line work rather than a direct copy of Game Freak’s look.
• Final deliverable as a layered PSD or high-resolution PNG (minimum 300 dpi, standard card dimensions 2.5" × 3.5").

What I’ll supply
• The specific player’s name and a couple of reference photos once we start.
• Text for stats and any small flavour elements.

What I need from you
• Rough pencil thumbnail for approval.
• Finished coloured illustration and card layout.
• Quick hand-off instructions if special fonts or brushes were used.

If this first card clicks, I’ll look to commission a full set, but for now I just want to see one standout concept that proves the look.
