SQL Server Performance Tuning Expert
Budget: ₹250,000 – ₹500,000 INR
Our production SQL Server instance has begun to crawl—queries that once returned in milliseconds now take seconds or minutes. My immediate goal is targeted performance tuning and ongoing monitoring so users experience consistently fast response times.
The biggest pain point is slow query execution. I need a seasoned SQL developer / DBA who can jump straight into execution plans, DMVs, Query Store, and indexing strategy to pinpoint the root causes and fix them without disrupting day-to-day operations. Anything from rewritten T-SQL and new composite indexes to configuration tweaks is fair game, provided it measurably improves throughput and lowers latency.
Deliverables (all discrete):
• Baseline health check and performance assessment report
• Optimised queries or rewritten stored procedures with before/after metrics
• Index recommendations and implemented changes, including scripts for roll-back
• Configuration adjustments (MAXDOP, memory, tempdb, etc.) with justification
• A lightweight monitoring setup or documented checklist so I can keep an eye on future regressions
Acceptance criteria:
• Key problem queries run at least 3× faster in production-like testing
• No increase in blocking or CPU spikes after changes are deployed
• Clear documentation of every change, plus a summary of further tuning opportunities
If you thrive on squeezing every last millisecond out of SQL Server, let’s get started.
