Pilot Inventory Tracking System Evaluation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m ready to run a small-scale pilot that puts a brand-new operations tool through its paces, specifically around Inventory Management. The emphasis is on Tracking and Reporting, not on full profit generation. Within a confined warehouse zone and a fixed time window, I need to:
• Map the current inventory-flow steps and pinpoint data-capture points
• Configure the prototype solution—this could be a lightweight module bolted onto our existing ERP, a barcode/RFID reader workflow, or another practical tracking layer
• Stand up a simple dashboard (Excel, Power BI, or similar) that visualises stock movement, discrepancies, and turnaround times in near-real-time
• Guide staff through the pilot SOPs, log any hiccups, and capture feedback in a structured way
• Monitor key KPIs (accuracy, latency, manual touches removed) and document unexpected challenges, change requests, and resource demands
• Produce a concise findings report and recommendations for scale-up or redesign
I have initial process charts and data samples ready to share once we kick off. Success means I walk away with a validated feasibility study, a clear list of issues, and an actionable roadmap for broader deployment.
