Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Fortinet Firewall Implementation Engineer to support a large-scale onsite deployment and migration project in the UAE. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on expertise in Fortinet security solutions, including FortiGate Firewalls and FortiAnalyzer. Candidates with additional experience in FortiManager will be highly preferred.
The engineer will be responsible for firewall implementation, migration, configuration, optimization, troubleshooting, and support activities while working closely with client stakeholders and project teams.
Required Skills (Option 1)
Expert-level experience with FortiGate Firewalls
Expert-level experience with FortiAnalyzer
Strong knowledge of:
Firewall deployment and implementation
Security policy creation and optimization
VPN (IPSec/SSL VPN) configuration
NAT, Routing, HA (High Availability)
Network Security best practices
Firewall migration and upgrade activities
Ability to perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Experience in enterprise-scale network security environments
Preferred Skills (Option 2)
Expert-level experience with FortiGate Firewalls
Expert-level experience with FortiAnalyzer
Mid-level expertise in FortiManager
Experience with:
Centralized policy management
Device provisioning and template management
Configuration backups and change management
Security fabric integration
Multi-site firewall deployments
Key Responsibilities
Implement, configure, and manage Fortinet security solutions.
Perform firewall deployment, migration, and upgrade activities.
Configure and troubleshoot IPSec VPNs, SSL VPNs, routing, NAT, and security policies.
Manage logging, reporting, and analytics through FortiAnalyzer.
Utilize FortiManager for centralized management (where applicable).
Conduct security assessments and recommend best practices.
Provide L2/L3 troubleshooting and incident resolution.
Coordinate with client teams during implementation and cutover activities.
Prepare technical documentation, implementation plans, and handover documents.
Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
Desired Certifications
Fortinet NSE 4 / FCP Network Security (Mandatory Preferred)
Fortinet NSE 5 / FCP Security Operations (Preferred)
Fortinet NSE 6 / FCSS Certifications (Good to Have)
Additional network security certifications are advantageous.
