Royalty statement certification
Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 USD
We are a music streaming business. As part of our licensing obligations we are required to have a CPA certify that our annual reporting on mechanical music rights is in line with local standards. Here is a snippet from the relevant requirements;
"The regulation requires that each ASOA be accompanied by the certification of a licensed Certified Public Accountant "in accordance with the attestation standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants [AICPA]." Summarizing, the accountant must attest that it conducted an examination under AICPA standards and found that the processes used to calculate the licensee's royalty obligations during the relevant period--and the controls applied to those processes--were suitably designed, operated effectively, and resulted in the rendering of accurate ASOAs."
We are looking for a CPA [or CPA firm] to complete this certification for our annual statements, on an ongoing basis should the initial engagement go well. Please get in touch if you feel you have the relevant knowledge and experience required to complete this work.
