You oversee setting up the appropriate network infrastructure for your company. The following departments need IT Services:
• Payroll (6 computers)
• Research and Department (10 computers)
• IT (5 computers)
• Accounts Payable (10 computers)
Your users will need to send and receive an email to and from outside clients and suppliers. Your IT department will have a constant need to download patches and fixes for various servers and network devices. The IT department has a constant need to upload results of debugs to various software vendors. Your ISP has provided you with one Public IPv4 address and one Global IPv6 address. You also have two (2) Internet-facing web servers that continue to provide content to your external users and must be kept up to date. A lot of your vendors and dealers also send you an email on a daily basis and you need to ensure that you can communicate with these vendors via email. No other access from the external users is required.
Follow the best practices and defense-in-depth to determine how you need to secure the network (internally and externally), as described above. Describe in detail the solutions you propose and why? A solution without proper explanation will not earn any points.
