Pentesting Educator Needed for TryHackMe Project
Budget: $10 – $50 USD
I'm looking for an experienced pentester to assist me with a penetration testing project as part of my education project on TryHackMe.
The project involves:
- Conducting a penetration test on three machines in a controlled lab environment (TryHackMe).
- Following the standard phases of a cyberattack including:
* Reconnaissance (Information gathering)
* Scanning (Identifying open ports and services)
* Exploitation (Gaining access to target machines)
* Privilege Escalation
* Persistence & Data Exfiltration (optional but recommended)
- Documenting all steps in a final report with detailed steps, explanations, and screenshots.
The target machines are:
- machine1: windows 7 with smb vulnerability
- machine2: wordpress
- machine3: ruby website with ssh port open
A detailed report is expected with no summary only or only detailed steps. You will need to use specific tools or frameworks for penetration testing including Nmap, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Kali Linux. Currently, I have no access to the target machines.
Ideal candidates should have:
- Extensive experience in penetration testing.
- Proficiency in using Nmap, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Kali Linux.
- Ability to document processes clearly and concisely for educational purposes.
- Previous experience with TryHackMe or similar platforms is a plus.
