Repair Letterbox Cement Base
Budget: $15 – $25 AUD
My gabion-style letterbox was recently struck by a vehicle, leaving the bottom cement base cracked, loose, and discoloured. I need the damaged cement carefully removed and a fresh, solid base poured so the steel cage sits level and secure again.
Scope of work:
• Chip out and clear all broken or loose cement without disturbing the surrounding gabion mesh.
• Dispose of rubble off-site.
• Prepare the surface, add reinforcement where necessary, and pour new cement that aligns flush with the gabion frame.
• Finish the surface smoothly and ensure the letterbox stands straight and stable.
You’ll bring your own hand tools, mixing gear, and suitable cement mix; I can cover material costs separately if needed. Timing is flexible, but I’d like the job completed within the next week. Please let me know your earliest availability and any similar repairs you’ve handled before.
