Truck Crane CAD for Manufacturing
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I already have a complete STEP file of a truck-mounted crane base with flap-down legs that I generated with AI tools. The geometry is there, but the model still needs a professional touch before I can release it to the fabrication shop. Your job is to turn my concept file into a fully detailed, production-ready CAD package.
Here’s what I expect once you take the reins:
• Refinement of details – clean up the solid bodies, close gaps, add proper weld preparations, bolt holes, tolerances and realistic clearances so everything fits first time on the shop floor.
• Material specifications – assign accurate grades and thicknesses for every plate, profile and fastener, then generate a clear BOM that a supplier can quote without guesswork.
• Structural analysis – run a basic FEA on the base frame and the fold-down legs to confirm load paths and safety factors. If weaknesses show up, iterate the design so we stay well within limits.
Deliverables
1. Updated native CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, NX, CATIA or comparable) plus exported STEP/IGES files.
2. Fabrication drawings and exploded assembly with numbered balloons, weld symbols, GD&T where relevant, and a BOM.
3. A short structural report summarising assumptions, boundary conditions, stress/deflection results and any design tweaks you made.
When you submit your bid, focus on a concise, detailed project proposal that outlines your workflow, key milestones and the software you’ll use. A link to previous steel or heavy-equipment projects is welcome but not mandatory. I’m ready to start as soon as I see a plan that convinces me the model will leave your desk absolutely shop-ready.
