Headlight Housing Design in NX/CATIA -- 2

Job ID: 40509051

Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR

I’m developing a new vehicle’s exterior lighting and need a precise plastic head-light housing engineered from the ground up. The work must be carried out in Siemens NX or CATIA, leveraging their advanced surfacing, draft-analysis, and mold-tooling features to ensure the part is fully injection-mould-ready.

Scope of work
The job covers 3D modelling of the complete housing, integration of mounting bosses, sealing rims, heat-sink standoffs, and bulb or LED carrier interfaces, plus the necessary under-cut management and draft angles for single-shot tooling. I’ll supply the surrounding lamp-package envelope and mating interface data; you translate that into a production-worthy design that meets automotive tolerances and NVH guidelines.

Deliverables (all native and neutral formats)
• Fully-parametric NX or CATIA model
• STEP/IGES for cross-platform review
• 2D detail drawings with GD&T, draft call-outs, material spec, and critical dimensions
• Short design report summarising wall-thickness checks, draft analysis, and tooling recommendations

Acceptance criteria
The model must open error-free in the stated CAD, pass a 2° minimum draft check on all mould-pull surfaces, respect the packaging envelope I provide, and show no sink or warpage risks in a quick MoldFlow pre-check.

If you’re comfortable pushing plastic design limits while keeping production realities in mind, let’s get this housing ready for tooling.
