Horror Film Supporting Role Casting
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m in the pre-production phase of an independent horror feature and I need a casting professional who can lock in the supporting roles. The leads are already attached, so your entire focus will be on finding those crucial characters who drive tension, add depth, and keep the audience on edge.
You’ll handle everything from drafting the breakdowns and circulating them on relevant platforms to shortlisting, scheduling, and running virtual or in-person auditions. I expect a concise casting report with headshots, résumés, and audition clips for each recommended actor, along with your notes on fit and availability.
Genre experience is a plus—someone who understands the pacing and nuance of horror tends to recognise the right on-screen energy faster. If you’re comfortable coordinating with agents, managing NDA paperwork, and keeping things on a tight indie timetable, we’ll work well together.
Deliverables:
• Character breakdowns for all supporting roles
• Shortlist (minimum three strong options per role) with headshots, reels, and availability
• Recorded auditions or live session links
• Final casting recommendations and contact details
