Native English-Spanish Technical Translator -- 2
Budget: $1,250 – $2,500 USD
I need a native-level linguist who can translate engineering and other technology-focused documentation from English into Spanish without losing the precise tone, terminology, or intent. Every text you hand back has to read as though it was originally written for a Spanish-speaking engineer: concise, accurate, and culturally natural.
The workload sits squarely in the technical/scientific sphere, so fluency with sector-specific vocabulary is essential. I rely on you to research new terms, maintain a living glossary, and use CAT tools such as Trados, MemoQ, or comparable platforms to keep terminology consistent across versions, manuals, and update cycles.
My process is simple:
• You receive the source files plus any existing term bases.
• You return a fully translated, self-proofed document that is ready for client delivery, accompanied by the updated glossary and bilingual CAT package.
Along the way I expect proactive queries, swift turnaround on revisions, and rock-solid confidentiality—some materials belong to unreleased products. Regular coordination with me and, when needed, the end client’s project manager helps ensure deadlines are never missed.
If you can balance linguistic finesse with engineering accuracy and keep the workflow transparent through CAT reporting, we’ll be a great fit.
