PDF Map Overlay on Google

I have a detailed map that currently exists only as a PDF. I need it transformed into an interactive Google-Maps-based layer so users can zoom, pan, and click just as they would in any standard web map.

What I will hand over to you
• The same geographic data that sits behind the PDF, exported as clean shapefiles/geoJSON.
• A folder of images and text snippets that must appear at specific points.

What I need back
• A single web page (HTML + JS) that loads the shapefile/geoJSON as a custom map layer through the Google Maps JavaScript API.
• At each plotted feature, a marker that shows a text label by default and opens an image-rich, interactive pop-up window on click or tap.
• Styling that respects the colour and line-weight conventions already shown in the PDF so the digital version looks instantly familiar to current users.
• Clear instructions or commented code so I can swap out data or adjust styling later without diving deep into the API docs.

Accuracy of the overlay is critical; the layer must align perfectly with standard Google satellite and street basemaps. If you normally use tools such as QGIS, Mapbox Studio, GDAL, or topojson to prepare data before pushing it to Google Maps, please let me know—anything that streamlines reprojection or tiling is welcome.

Once the interactive page is running smoothly in a browser, the job is done.
