ArcGIS Pro Base Map Inventory for School
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Objective of the task: inventory of the entire sheet of the basic map of a fragment of Ursynów, Warsaw, Poland, including all of the elements of land development.
Task content: Georeference the base map based on the files in the Ursynów folder (01s8o2s.tif) with an accuracy of 10 cm (use a minimum of 44 geodesic crosses). Remember the frame data and coordinate system (2000-PL). Create a file geodatabase to store all object classes. Create layers (feature classes) within the geodatabase and vectorize all of them objects visible on the base map, i.e. buildings, trees, lawns, roads, slopes, stairs, elements buildings, sheds, garages, sandboxes, waste bins, etc. (minimum 15 layers). There can’t be any empty spaces so choose the layers to vectorize wisely. After vectorization of the entire content of the base map, connect WMS orthophotos (from the geoportal.gov.pl), turn on transparency of existing layers and update the content (i.e. vectorize the newly created buildings, remove non-existent trees, etc.). Add the selected attributes to the 3 selected layers (number storeys, function, tree type, etc.) to the attribute table. Then assign the appropriate symbolism to objects on the map, display min. 3 clear labels on selected layers. Prepare a layout in A3 paper format horizontally, set the scale to suit the paper format. Add the title "Inwentaryzacja fragmentu dzialnicy Ursynów w Warszawie". Insert north arrow, descriptive scale and linear scale. Export the layout to TIFF format and minimum resolution. 300 dpi.
