Part-Time Carpenters for Trade Show Projects

We are seeking skilled, detail-oriented Freelance / Part-Time Carpenters to join our team for an upcoming series of high-profile trade show and exhibition projects running through August, September, and potentially October 2026.
This is a workshop-based fabrication role. You will be responsible for the high-quality woodwork fabrication and pre-assembly of custom exhibition stands, display booths, and experiential brand activations in our workshop before they are shipped to the venue. We are looking for experienced professionals who understand the fast-paced nature of the trade show industry, where precision, structural safety, and flawless finishes are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate, assemble, and finish custom woodwork elements for trade show booths, including walls, counters, display units, and complex architectural features entirely within a workshop environment.
Interpret and work accurately from structural drawings, blueprints, and design renderings.
Utilize a variety of materials common to modern exhibition building, including plywood, hardwoods, MDF, laminates, and lightweight specialty materials.
Ensure all structures are built to exact dimensional specifications and meet rigorous structural stability standards for public event spaces.
Collaborate closely with project managers and design teams to troubleshoot fabrication challenges on the shop floor.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the workshop.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in finish carpentry, cabinetry, or exhibition/set construction. Direct experience building for trade shows is highly preferred.
Deep technical knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery, and material characteristics.
Proficiency with standard workshop machinery and hand tools (table saws, routers, miter saws, pneumatic nailers, etc.).
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew.
Must have flexibility to work varied hours based on project build schedules across the August–October timeline.
Possession of standard personal carpentry hand tools is a plus.
