Laminate Wardrobe Storage Customisation
Budget: $300 – $1,000 AUD
I need an experienced joiner to re-configure the built-ins in four bedrooms so every centimetre of space works harder. All units will be finished in durable laminate and should keep a clean, modern look throughout.
Scope of work
• Bedroom 1 – Walk-in, L-shaped, open:
• Side X 1890 mm W × 2400 mm H (on-site check)
• Side Y run 1460 mm; individual 800 mm W × 2400 mm H, 590 mm D
• Fit new adjustable shelves (4 shelfs), soft-close 4 drawers and a hanging section that align with the open design.
• Split the top section by adding one shelf in the middle (horizontally)
• Bedroom 2 – Walk-in, L-shaped, open:
• Side X 1250 mm W × 2400 mm H × 590 mm D
• Side Y run 1970 mm; individual 1970 mm W × 2400 mm H × 590 mm D
• Mirror Bedroom 1’s configuration, adapting to the larger Side Y, again using shelves, drawers and hanging rods.
• Bedroom 3 – Swing-door robe 1100 mm W × 2400 mm H × 650 mm D:
• Add 4 adjustable shelving in the on the left side (hidden) without disturbing the hanging rail .
• Bedroom 4 – Mirrored sliding robe 1550 mm W × 2400 mm H × 550 mm D:
• Split in 2 column, double-hanging on column 1, Column 2 will have open shelving at the top and 3 drawers at the bottom.
Acceptance criteria
• All cabinetry constructed in high-grade laminate, edges sealed, colour matched across existing wardrobes.
• Drawer runners soft-close, 20+ kg rating; hinges concealed.
• Shelves adjustable in 32 mm increments; hanging rods fixed securely and aligned.
• On-site measurements confirmed before cutting; final fit flush with no visible gaps.
• Work area left clean and wardrobes ready for immediate use.
• Any wastage to be removed from the site.
