Spectrum Superhero: Empowering Autism Tale
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am seeking skillful, sensitive individuals to help bring my unique vision to life. The project consists of writing and illustrating a vibrant, engaging children's book, aimed at 4-8 years focusing on my wonderful and unique daughter, who happens to be on the autism spectrum, but is also a superhero.
The book has a theme of empowerment for all children, but particularly those who are considered different or special. I have a wealth of ideas to share with the freelancer, however I need help in harnessing these into a vibrant, thoughtful narrative.
- The freelancer needs excellent writing skills, a genuine understanding of children’s literature and an authentic interest in promoting inclusivity and empowerment.
- A preference will be given to those with experience or understanding of autistic spectrum condition.
- Artwork should be colourful, engaging, and leaning toward a friendly cartoon style to appeal to our young audience. An understanding of how to visually depict the diverse and special aspects of my daughter's character is key.
