Retro-Style Cartoon Characters T-Shirt Design
Budget: $70 – $100 USD
I'm seeking a skilled artist experienced in creating retro-style cartoon characters for a unique t-shirt design.
I attached several references and inspiration photos.
Replace the characters from those inspirational photos with a cartoonish looking cat holding a sunflower and wearing a traditional Chinese straw hat.
Replace the object ridden to a train kinda like the one with Taz on it and have a cartoonish silhouette of a Dandelion (as if it wash blown on to make a wish) on the head light of the train and make the headlight oversized and exaggerated.
- Cartoon Style: The project requires the creation of three cartoon characters. These should be delivered in a vibrant, entertaining, and nostalgic retro style. Elaborately detailed characters wouldn't work for this project. Stick to clean, bold, and uncomplicated design concepts.
- Design Specification: The characters should be designed with bold lines, and clear and easily distinguishable features. These characters are expected to translate well to a printed t-shirt, maintaining their aesthetics even from a distance.
- Skills and Experience: A strong portfolio illustrating your expertise in creating retro-style cartoon characters is expected. Proficiency in graphic design, specifically for fabric printing, will also be highly advantageous. Understanding of color schemes that are appealing yet cost-effective for printing is essential.
The goal of this project is to produce a fun, captivating, and high-quality piece of wearable art. A keen eye for detail and a passion for retro-style cartoons are what I need to make this project a success.
