Political Cartoon Illustrator Partner

Job ID: 40180378

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I write single-panel captions in that dry, slightly absurd tone you find in The New Yorker, but I need the right artistic counterpart to bring them to life. I’m after classic black-and-white ink work—clean shading, confident line, a touch of personality—rather than full-color pieces. Each cartoon will poke fun at contemporary life, so the drawings should balance wit with subtlety and stay clear of overt caricature.

For every caption I provide, I’ll share a short visual prompt; you translate it into a moderately detailed illustration that could pass for something on a New Yorker page. Digital tools such as Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, or Photoshop are fine as long as the final file is high-resolution and print-ready (300 dpi, 8"×8" or similar). Traditional pen-and-ink scanned at high resolution works too.

I’d like to to show you examples of my work. I am not an amateur. Looking for ongoing partnership. You’ll receive full credit whenever the work is published or pitched. Please include a link or PDF portfolio that shows black-and-white political or editorial pieces with a similar degree of detail. Looking forward to seeing your stuff!
