I am looking for a skilled illustrator to bring my children’s book to life. The book is titled Changing Our Soch: Tara’s Story and is a 32-page illustrated picture book about a young South Asian woman navigating schizophrenia, stigma, and resilience. It’s written for children and families, with an educational yet gentle tone.

What I need:
32 full-page illustrations based on detailed descriptions I will provide

Front and back cover design

Formatting for Amazon KDP (8.5” x 8.5” print-ready PDF with bleed)

Ability to add or format text alongside illustrations

Strong attention to cultural detail (Punjabi Sikh family in a Canadian suburban setting)

Final files should be high resolution, suitable for both print and optional ebook

Ideal style:
Semi-realistic or soft cartoon

Warm, expressive, and kid-friendly (but not overly childish)
