Canva Pro Designer Brief — Gospel of Mark Workbook
Summary
Design a premium, print‑friendly Gospel of Mark workbook in Canva Pro using my finalised content (16 modules). This is Book 1 of 4 (Matthew, Luke, John next), so the system must be modular, scalable, and easy to duplicate.
Critical Requirement
• All work created directly in my Canva Pro Team (invite provided).
• I retain ownership; templates must be duplicable and editable for future books.
Commercial Use
• Intended use: sold as digital download (personal‑use licence).
• All fonts/images/icons/textures cleared for commercial use (no “editorial use only”).
• Editable Canva template for full workbook.
• Brand Templates (locked where sensible): Cover, Module Opener, Two‑Column Content, Reflection/Application, Summary/Closing.
• Components library: Key‑Verse plaque, callouts (Original Language, Context, Structure, Cross‑Refs, Application, Leader’s Notes, Did You Know?), headers/footers, icons, “Read: Mk X:Y–Z” tag.
• Brand Kit integration (named text & colour styles).
• Organised folders + tidy layer naming.
• Exports: Print PDFs (A4 primary, US Letter alt, with bleed) + Tablet/Screen PDF (interactive TOC, tabs, links, “Back to TOC” navigation).
Design Standards
• Aesthetic: clean, modern, premium; scholarly‑approachable.
• Typography: Cormorant Garamond (headings/labels), Inter (body/captions), Crimson Pro Italic (key‑verse).
• Palette: SICP colours — #033c39, #7a845e, #e8e3d4, #6b4a3b, #605b5c (+ 3–6% tints).
• Layout: A4 primary; US Letter alt; consistent two‑column grid, margins, baseline rhythm; contrast ≥ 4.5:1; body text ≥11pt print / 14pt digital; line spacing ≥1.3.
• Illustration/Iconography: preference for custom/unique line‑art (no traced stock).
• Locked elements: headers/footers/grids to protect layout integrity.
Folder Structure (inside Canva)
• 01_Templates/ (Components + Page Templates)
• 02_Workbooks/ (Master A4 + US Letter alt)
• 03_Assets/ (Images, Illustrations, Maps/Timelines)
• 04_Exports/ (Print PDFs, Tablet PDFs)
• 00_Brand & Admin/ (Logos, README, notes, versioning guide)
Workflow & Milestones
• M1: Style Proof (2–3 pages + key components).
• M2: Pilot Module (one full module, blueprint).
• M3: Rollout (all modules + templates).
• M4: Exports & Handover (print + tablet PDFs, asset/licence list, 1‑page duplication guide).
• Communication in UK hours; comments/reviews inside Canva.
• Designer to provide test exports (print bleed check + tablet link check).
Acceptance Criteria
• Built in my Canva Team; I remain owner.
• Brand Kit styles applied (no ad‑hoc colours).
• Grid/margins consistent; accessible contrast & legibility.
• Components named ; templates locked appropriately; clear layer names.
• Illustrations confirmed original (no traced stock)
What I’ll Provide
Brand Kit (fonts/colours/logo), final text (16 modules), divider imagery, maps/timeline copy.
Application (include all)
• Two viewer links to Canva workbooks/templates showing Brand Templates & locked elements.
• 1‑page approach (components, grid/type system, duplication plan).
• One suggestion to improve print legibility/accessibility.
