Modern Church Newsletter Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m putting together a visually engaging, Christian-themed newsletter for our congregation and would like an experienced designer/writer to handle both layout and light content editing.
Format & Delivery
The final file needs to be a press-ready, shareable digital PDF that can also be printed in-house without quality loss. Please supply the working source files (InDesign, Canva, or similar) alongside the PDF so we can update dates in future editions.
Core Sections to Include
• Upcoming events with dates, locations, and short blurbs
• Pastor’s message (rough draft supplied; you’ll format and lightly polish)
• Volunteer opportunities and sign-up info
• Community highlights and testimonies
• New members / recognition corner
• Simple “Ways to Give” panel with QR code and links
Design Direction
I’m after a modern, vibrant look that still feels reverent—think clean typography, uplifting color palette, subtle Christian iconography (cross, dove, etc.) and plenty of white space. Photos and logos will be provided, but stock imagery suggestions are welcome if they fit the tone.
What I’ll Provide
– Rough text for each section
– High-resolution church logo and recent event photos
– Brand colors and font preferences (Google Fonts)
What I Need From You
– Page template (4–6 pages) set up for easy monthly reuse
– Consistent styles for headings, sub-headings, callouts, and footers
– Final PDF plus editable source files
– Quick turnaround each month: I would like the newsletter to be customized based on each monthly theme.
Acceptance Criteria
1. All listed sections present, properly formatted, and proof-read.
2. Design matches the modern/vibrant brief and prints clearly on standard US letter.
3. Hyperlinks and QR code function correctly in the PDF.
If this sounds like your skill set, please share a sample of a similarly styled newsletter or brochure you’ve produced. I’m excited to collaborate and showcase the life of our church through a fresh, compelling newsletter!
