Minimalist YouTube Thumbnail Design

I run a YouTube channel and want every new video to stand out with a clean, minimalist thumbnail that viewers can recognize at a glance. I do not yet have an established palette or type pairing, so the first step will be for you to suggest a couple of subtle color schemes and font combinations that feel modern and uncluttered. Once we lock that in, you will create thumbnails for upcoming videos in Canva (or a similar tool) using the agreed-upon look.

What you’ll receive from me for each video: the working title, a short description of the topic, and any still frames or photos I’d like featured. What I need back: a 1280 × 720 JPG (under 2 MB) and the editable Canva link so I can batch-update text later if needed.

Deliverables
• 2–3 initial color & typography concepts
• Finalized mini brand guide (palette, fonts, spacing rules)
• First thumbnail produced to spec; additional thumbnails may follow as a new milestone

Acceptance criteria
– Design stays true to minimalist style (ample negative space, limited colors, clear hierarchy)
– Text remains fully legible on mobile preview
– File size and dimensions meet YouTube requirements
– Editable link provided for each finished thumbnail
