Meta Ads Creative Strategist Required
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
Creative Strategist – Meta Ads
Freelance / Ongoing · 100% Remote · Worldwide · ~5–10 hrs/week
About the company
Little Rick is a London-born functional drinks brand operating across the UK and US markets. Founded in 2019, we're a small, fast-moving team with a bold, irreverent brand voice. We don't position ourselves as a health drink — we position ourselves as a great drink that happens to be good for you. Think more cocktail culture, less wellness supplement.
The role
We're looking for a freelance creative strategist who can own the full creative output for our Meta ad account across both the UK and US — from ideation through to production-ready assets. You'll combine sharp strategic thinking with hands-on execution: sourcing UGC and stock footage, building static designs in Canva, and reviewing creative performance data to inform what gets made next. Location is completely irrelevant — we work async and care only about output.
Weekly deliverables
Creative concepts
2–3 new ad concepts per week with hooks, angles, and format rationale
Video assets
Source, brief, and/or edit UGC and stock video for Reels/Stories formats
Static designs
Produce Canva statics — feed ads, carousels, story frames — per brand guidelines
Performance review
Weekly read of MotionApp data — flag winners, kill candidates, and iterate
Responsibilities
Develop weekly creative briefs and ad concepts tailored to both UK and US audiences
Source UGC creators, stock footage, and imagery for video ads
Produce statics in Canva (feed, stories, carousels) ready for upload
Review creative analytics in MotionApp and extract actionable insights
Write short-form copy: hooks, headlines, and primary text for each ad
Maintain a creative testing log — angles tested, results, hypotheses
Weekly async check-in (Loom or written) with the founder
What we're NOT looking for
You will not manage the ad account, set budgets, or run campaigns — we handle all of that. Your job is to produce great creatives and tell us what's working.
Must-haves
Required Proven track record running creative strategy for DTC/CPG Meta ads
Required Proficient in Canva for static ad production
Required Experience sourcing or briefing UGC creators and stock video
Required Comfortable reading creative analytics (MotionApp, Meta Ads Manager, or similar)
Required Strong direct-response copywriting — hooks, headlines, CTAs
Required Native or near-native English — copy will run in both the UK and US
Required Portfolio showing Meta ad creative — video and static
Nice-to-haves
Bonus Familiarity with both UK and US consumer culture and tone differences
Bonus Experience with drinks, FMCG, or lifestyle/wellness brands
Bonus Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)
Bonus Experience advertising in regulated or restricted product categories on Meta
Compensation & structure
Engagement type
Freelance, ongoing
Hours
~5–10 hrs/week
Rate
Quoted by candidate — fixed weekly retainer preferred
Location
Fully remote — worldwide
Communication
Async-first (Loom, Slack, or email)
How to apply
Submit your portfolio or examples of Meta ad creative you've produced. Tell us briefly: one DTC brand you've worked on, what creative angle drove the most impact, and why. Applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed.
Note for applicants: Our products sit in a restricted advertising category on Meta. Experience navigating ad policy constraints — and writing copy that converts within them — is a genuine advantage.
