Optimized Swiss Turning CAM Program

Job ID: 40415481

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

I need a production-ready CAM program for a sliding-head Swiss lathe that machines a component made from Brass CA360. The drawing is available only as a PDF, so you will be working from that document; if you prefer working from a solid model please include any conversion steps you require in your proposal.

The part geometry sits in the “moderate” complexity range—features include varied diameters, precision grooves, and a short internal thread—so the focus is less on intricate surfacing and more on strategic toolpath planning. What really matters is cycle-time reduction: the program must balance aggressive but safe cutting parameters, optimal tool engagement, and minimal idle moves. Chip control for brass, tool wear offsets and synchronized sub-spindle operations should all be considered.

Please supply:
• A fully-tested machine file compatible with a modern Swiss sliding-head controller (Fanuc-based preferred).
• A setup sheet detailing tools, offsets, coolant requirements and workholding.
• A quick simulation report or video that confirms collision-free motion and shows the estimated cycle time.

I will run the code on a test bar and confirm time savings against our current baseline before sign-off. Feel free to use software such as Solidcam or your own preferred package—as long as the post output is clean and editable. Let me know if you need any clarifications from the drawing before you start.
