Autodesk CAMduct Configuration & Optimization
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Our CAMduct environment needs a full tune-up so it becomes a single, reliable source for estimating, detailing and releasing MEP parts to the shop floor. The current database is inconsistent—pressure classes are incomplete, labor tables conflict with materials, and export files still need hand-editing before they reach the plasma or coil line.
What has to happen:
• Clean, rebuild or import a fresh CAMduct database with correct materials, gauges, pressure classes, seams, connectors and ancillary items.
• Link cost and labor tables so that take-offs immediately generate accurate estimates and reports.
• Standardize item numbering and develop templates so detailers can drop components straight from Revit/AutoCAD into CAMduct without remapping.
• Validate that the output drives our fabrication machinery (PLASMA, coil line, spiral tube and liner stations) with no manual fixes.
• Provide a short step-by-step guide or screen-share video that shows how to maintain the new setup.
Acceptance criteria for hand-over:
1. A sample project containing duct, pipe and fittings exports to .DXF or machine code and nests correctly.
2. A bill of materials report matches the agreed pricing table within ±1 %.
3. All seams, connectors and insulation types appear as selectable options inside the item editor.
Native CAMduct files only—no third-party add-ins. I will supply the existing database, price sheets and a sample model once we start.
