Globoidal Cam Indexer Design
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I need a mechanical design engineer to design a globoidal (Ferguson-type) cam mechanism for a rotary indexing application.
The design should be based on the following input parameters, which I will share with the selected freelancer:
Index Time
Dwell Time
Index Frequency
Number of Stations
Diameter of Plate
Weight of Plate
Pitch Radius of Station
Weight of Each Station
Axial Load
Scope of Work:
Cam profile design/synthesis (motion law selection — e.g., modified sine, modified trapezoidal, or cycloidal, whichever is most suitable)
Roller/follower sizing and pressure angle checks
Torque, speed, and acceleration calculations based on given load and inertia parameters
3D CAD model of the cam and indexer assembly
2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T
Basic design calculation report/documentation
Deliverables:
CAD files (SolidWorks/Inventor/AutoCAD — specify preferred format)
Detailed cam profile data/coordinates
Design calculation sheet
Manufacturing-ready 2D drawings
