GD&T Drawings for Rack Chassis

Job ID: 40626002

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

I need a set of production-ready GD&T drawings for an electronic chassis that mounts in a standard 19" rack. The enclosure will be fabricated in steel, so please keep manufacturability for sheet-metal and machined features in mind.

Scope
• Create or refine the full mechanical drawing package for the chassis.
• Apply ASME Y14.5 GD&T throughout, with particular focus on accurate position tolerance call-outs for mounting holes, card guides, and connector cut-outs. Flatness or circularity callouts are welcome wherever they genuinely improve clarity, but position is the only mandatory control.
• Ensure all views, section details, notes, and a fully populated title block are present so that a fabricator can quote and build without further clarification.

Deliverables
1. Native CAD model in the platform you work with (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) plus STEP.
2. Detailed PDF drawing set with GD&T applied.
3. A simple revision log documenting any design assumptions or questions resolved during the job.

Acceptance Criteria
• Every critical interface feature on the chassis is controlled with position tolerance that ties back to a single, sensible datum scheme.
• No unanswered fabrication or inspection questions remain in the package.
• File names and drawing numbers follow a clean, logical convention.

If you have relevant examples of steel rack-mount chassis drawings that highlight your GD&T work, feel free to share them when you respond.
