Convert 3D PDFs to Flat Patterns

Job ID: 40591170

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

I have four existing 3D patterns supplied only as PDF views. They were originally built in SolidWorks, but what I need now are clean, laser-ready flat patterns plus an isometric reference drawing that clearly shows the faces of each part.

Scope of work
• Unfold every 3D pattern accurately, preserving all dimensions and bend allowances so the files can be sent straight to the laser cutter.
• Supply the primary output as DFX; in addition, export identical geometry to PDF, DWG and the native SolidWorks part/assembly file.
• Create one isometric drawing for each item, with the faces distinctly rendered so anyone on the shop floor can see how the flat pattern relates back to its 3-D form.

Acceptance criteria
• Geometry must open error-free in AutoCAD 2023 and SolidWorks 2021.
• Line colours and layers follow common laser-cutting standards (cut, etch, bend).
• No stray polylines, gaps or duplicate entities.
• Overall size tolerance ±0.1 mm compared to the original PDFs.

If you’re confident unfolding complex shapes and know the quirks of SolidWorks’ sheet-metal and AutoCAD’s export settings, this should be a quick turn-round job. I’ll share the four PDFs as soon as we start and I’m happy to answer any clarifying questions along the way.
