Automotive STP Feature & Surface Refinement
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I have a set of STP files that are almost production–ready, but a few areas still need attention before they can move to tooling. Specifically, I want to introduce new features that blend naturally with the existing design and then tidy up the surfaces so every edge is crisp and all continuity issues are eliminated.
Feature additions
The extra details must complement what is already there rather than replace it. Think of subtle lines or other functional geometry that follows the current styling cues and preserves clearances; I will share the exact call-outs once the project begins.
Surface work
Some transitions currently break tangency and a handful of edges look faceted. I need those edges corrected and the flow of each surface smoothed so downstream CAM and simulation run flawlessly.
I will provide a scan of the vehicle, you will have to build a surface on the vehicle scan to create a cutting plane so the stp parts will mate to the vehicle flawlessly.
Deliverables
• Updated STP files matching the original coordinate system and part names
• Native CAD files from the package you use (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, NX, etc.)
The job is complete when the parts open error-free in SolidWorks 2022 and pass a simple curvature analysis without spikes or gaps.
