Timed Liquid Dispenser Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a concept for a small dispenser that must draw food-grade liquids directly from a variety of bottle sizes, release only a set volume per use, then lock out until a programmable reset interval has elapsed. All modelling needs to be created in SolidWorks, and I would like the finished files delivered within two weeks.
You will receive a reference photo and a link to a similar commercial device so you can capture the overall footprint and mounting approach. Internally, the unit will rely on an electronic control mechanism: a compact board or embedded module that counts each dispense, triggers a cut-off at the specified volume, and starts the cooldown timer before the next cycle. The enclosure shape should make it easy for users to swap bottles without tools, while keeping the liquid pathway fully food-safe.
Scope of work
• Parametric SolidWorks model of the full assembly and all critical sub-components
• Exploded and section views suitable for prototyping and machining
• Suggested off-the-shelf electronic parts (pump, sensor, microcontroller) integrated in the CAD
• Basic tolerance notes and a short BOM
Acceptance criteria
1. A working SolidWorks assembly that mates correctly
2. Electronic control layout that enables volume limit accuracy to ±5 %.
3. Reset timer adjustable in software or firmware from 30 seconds to 10 minutes.
If additional safety functions such as spill prevention or child-lock integration are straightforward to add, please note how you would accommodate them so we can decide before final sign-off.
