Key tasks will include:
- Product Prototyping: Developing and testing digital models.
- Ergonomics & Human Factors: Ensuring the product is user-friendly and comfortable.
- Materials & Manufacturing Processes: Sourcing and implementing recyclable materials.
- Sustainability: Designing with the environment in mind throughout the entire process.
- Lifecycle Assessment: Conducting a lifecycle assessment to identify and minimize the product's environmental impact.
- End-of-Life Plan: Developing a sustainable end-of-life plan for product disposal or recycling.
- Eco-friendly Packaging: Designing packaging that is as sustainable as the product itself, using recyclable or biodegradable materials.
- Compliance with Standards: Ensuring the product complies with relevant environmental and safety standards.
- Modular Design: Incorporating a modular design approach to extend product life and make repairs or upgrades easier.
- Renewable Energy Use: Exploring the use of renewable energy sources within the product design.
- Minimalist Design: Adopting minimalist design principles to reduce material usage and simplify manufacturing.
- User Education: Creating user education materials on the sustainable use and disposal of the product.
