We are seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to assist with our innovative project, the "standing aid." Our project aims to develop a device that aids individuals in standing and walking, enhancing their mobility and independence. While we have made significant progress in capturing the device concept using CAD, we have encountered a roadblock in linking the handle to the safety locking mechanism, compromising the device's safety during height adjustments. We are looking for a talented engineer who can provide valuable insights and expertise to help overcome this challenge and bring our project to completion.
Evaluate and analyse the current design of the standing aid, particularly focusing on the handle and safety locking mechanism.
Propose and develop innovative solutions to address the identified challenge and enhance the device's safety and functionality.
Utilize CAD software and other relevant tools to design and prototype proposed solutions.
Test and validate design modifications through prototyping and iterative testing processes.
Communicate effectively with myself to provide progress updates, discuss findings, and solicit feedback.
Ideal skills and experiences required:
• Strong mechanical engineering background
• Proven record in designing mechanical systems
• Experience in cost analysis and optimization
