Solar Permit Plan Set Design -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
This project involves producing fully code-compliant solar permit plan sets for both residential and commercial PV installations in the United States. Each set must be drafted in AutoCAD and delivered as both a layered DWG and a print-ready PDF.
Scope of work
• Develop a clear, scaled site plan and roof layout showing module and inverter placement, setbacks, conduit runs, and equipment clearances.
• Embed NEC-compliant notes, safety labeling call-outs, and an equipment schedule that aligns with manufacturer data sheets.
• Coordinate with our in-house engineer: your drawings will be returned to you with structural comments that may require one round of revisions before final sign-off.
• Incorporate any AHJ or utility feedback quickly so the plan can pass on the first resubmittal.
Turnaround & communication
A complete plan set is expected within five days of receiving project data (array layout, equipment list, photos). Same-day clarification replies keep the process moving.
Deliverables
1. AutoCAD DWG file with unlocked layers
2. Matching PDF file ready for upload to the permitting portal
3. Change log if revisions were required
Success is measured by the plan set gaining AHJ approval without additional corrections. If you have two or more years of solar design experience and sample permit packages you can share, I’d like to work with you on an ongoing basis.
