Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced mechanical/CAD engineer to design a front and rear sight system for a legal and compliant firearm platform. The candidate must be able to create based on an existing model and implement functional adjustment mechanisms.
Scope of Work:
Create model and modify (STP/STEP/3D files) compatible with the provided model.
Design a front sight with elevation adjustment capability.
Design a rear sight with windage adjustment capability.
Rear sight must be a low-profile, flip-up design.
Deliverables in STEP, IGES, and STL, and raw Fusion 360 (.f3z) files.
Provide clear technical drawings with tolerances for prototyping/manufacturing.
Requirements:
Proven CAD experience (Fusion 360 preferred; SolidWorks acceptable).
Strong background in mechanical design, preferably firearms or precision assemblies.
Knowledge of adjustment mechanisms, detents, and spring-loaded components.
Ability to work with tight tolerances and produce manufacturing-ready drawings.
Bonus Skills:
Prior experience designing firearm sights or precision mechanical optics.
Knowledge of lightweight, durable materials for CNC.
