Robotics Project -- 2
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
Design a prototype robot to measure a ceramic component used in a jet engine combustion chamber. The component is fired Alumina and is 52mm in diameter and 75mm height.
The part is lifted form a trolley of 24 parts, into the measuring station, and back to another accepted trolley.
Use off the shelf electronic and mechanical parts, RS Radionics, Farnell, Mitsumi, other makers sites etc.
Determine all parts such as stepper motors, stepper drivers, PLC or raspberry pi, Arduino, sensors, mechanical sliders and rails, grippers, measuring head, power supply.
Create developmental drawings in SolidWorks and a Bill of Materials for the project.
Estimated cost required
Indicate any further work required.
No coding required but do consider and document how it will be programmed.
Most experienced designer gets the job.
