Project Description: Rebuilding STEP Components in CATIA V5
I’m looking for an experienced CAD designer or engineer to help rebuild two existing components (provided in STEP format) in CATIA V5. The goal is for me to be able to understand the construction process and recreate the models myself afterward.
Tasks:
Import and review the two STEP components
Rebuild the geometry in CATIA V5 (parametric and organized structure)
Clearly structure the modeling steps (e.g., bodies, sketches, features)
Provide short documentation or an explanation so the process is easy to follow
Requirements:
Strong expertise in CATIA V5 or V6 (Part Design, Assembly Design optional)
Experience working with STEP files
Clean and well-organized modeling practices
Objective: Deliver two editable CATIA V5 models that serve as a reference and learning resource.
File Formats:
Input: .STEP
Output: catia V6 .CATPart (or .CATProduct if an assembly is needed)
