Price File Maintenance Guru
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need an Excel Guru to manage our price file updates. Our pricefile contains approximately 13,000 items provided by approximately twenty different suppliers across Australia. The pricefile is used for manufacturing small, pre-engineered steel buildings (Steel Sheds). Updates can happen when a supplier changes prices, extends shipping locations, adding or removing suppliers, adding new flashing, etc.
This is a part-time position with approximately 2-10hrs of work per month managing the price file for our small but growing shed distributor network. Sometimes there are no updates for 1-3 months! This small business is run by one person, managing over sixty distributors that use our price file to design, sell and build small steel buildings. The owner wants to outsource this work to focus on growing the company in Australia.
Scope of work:
Excel price file change comparisons. - Use excel tools to find changes made by the software developer during upload implementation into our steel building engineering program. Changes found should be verified or questioned.
Work with our third party shed engineering software business to implement changes per their standard procedures. Our software partner has an Excel guru that manages and uploads the price files into the engineering program. He will instruct you on how to make changes.
The pricefile is in metric and typical changes include price updates, product code changes, setting flashing bends and angles, adding flashing coverages, adding new supplier products, creating delivery longitudinal and latitude radius coordinates from Google Maps and adding them into our delivery excel file, and other price file excel work.
The work is easy for someone that is great at Excel. Bonus if you have basic Autocad experience because you would have experience in implementing bends and angles into the pricefile. Accuracy and timelines are fundamental as our distributors depend on this information being accurate to sell steel buildings. A confidentiality agreement will need to be signed as you will have access to sensitive pricing data.
Interested parties should submit a retainer fee that will be paid at the end of each month.
Attached is pricefile example for your perusal so that you can better understand the work required. This file does not have all of the tabs required. New tabs are added by the software developer's excel guru as needed along with instructions on how to complete the information.
Selected applicant should be able to start immediately as I currently have a few hours of work to be done.
