Parametric Reverse Engineering from 3D Scans -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
Hi,
I have a reverse engineering project and I'm looking for someone with hands-on experience using Geomagic Design X (or equivalent parametric reverse engineering software — SolidWorks Scan-to-3D, PolyWorks Modeler, etc.).
Project:
I 3D scan mechanical parts (track axles) and provide you with the raw scan data (mesh/point cloud, e.g. STL/OBJ). You reverse engineer each part into a clean, fully parametric CAD model.
Deliverables (per part):
Feature-based parametric CAD model (STEP)
Accurate dimensions matching the scan within reasonable tolerance
Clean, editable feature tree (no dumb solids/direct-import geometry)
Rate: 100 CAD per file
Timeline: 2 days per part
Requirements:
Must have real project experience with Geomagic Design X or similar reverse engineering software (not just general CAD/SolidWorks modeling)
Please share 1–2 examples of past reverse engineering work (before/after: scan mesh → CAD model)
